Lesha Berezovskiy (1991) was born in Luhansk Oblast, Ukraine. Growing up in the rough, industrial city of Yenakijeve, Lesha was often sent to his grandparents home in the quiet, rural town of Novoaidar. While hoarding goats and enjoying his idyllic surroundings, he developed an appreciation for time alone with his thoughts – characteristics recognisable in his work today. When Russia attacked Ukraine in 2014, Lesha fled to Kyiv and pursued photography on a professional level. Eager to further evolve and define his practice, he began an active exchange with both local and international photographers. With a semi-documentarian approach, Lesha draws attention to the beauty in the small and simple things of life.
