Olena Subach (1980, Chervonohrad) lives and works in Lviv. It was only after she had received a master’s degree in economics that Elena turned to photography. Prior to the war in Ukraine, largely self taught Subach used an amalgamation of photography and post production techniques such as collage to represent her worldview. Russia’s ongoing attacks have turned the photographer’s practice towards the documentation, she aims to record history unfolding in front of her eyes.
